About TreeCycle Canada.

TreeCycle wants to change the way we recycle Wood Waste.

We don’t burn our wood waste; unlike many other “recyclers”. We are committed to Reuse, and not Misuse of valuable resources.

Are we a Solid Waste/Green Waste Recycler? Are we a Forestry operation? Are we a Sawmill operation? Are we a Remanufacturing facility? The answer is all of them! It’s that easy because we all work together for a common goal: helping the environment.

“So other trees will live.” We believe that every tree has value, and every tree being removed deserves a chance at keeping that value in our communities. We want to break the mold and change the rules surrounding how all wood waste is utilized at end-of-life.

We want TreeCycling to become more than a brand; a verb, a habit, a second nature and first thought for wood waste and tree recycling.

Our History.

The idea for TreeCycle was born while woodworking in the heart of North Vancouver’s old growth forests. Having seen first hand the amount of wood waste generated by tree removals, Ben started collecting the wood in his own car, and began recycling it for his woodworking side business.

Since our launch, we have been managing Wood Waste for our strategic partners and members of the community. We have recycled over 50 tons of Wood Waste and reused 35 tonnes of Waste in projects for the built environment all across the Lower Mainland!

To date, by “TreeCycling” dozens of trees, we have taken the equivalent of approximately 10-12 passenger vehicles off the road for a year (according to US EPA stats for average yearly emissions output), and we continue to store more CO2 emissions every day in the wood products we produce and recycle.

Our goal is to take the equivalent of 10,000 cars off the road within 10 years by diverting Wood Waste from traditional solid waste streams: further reducing CO2 emissions released from Wood Waste and the Metro Vancouver Incinerator. Help us do that by supporting and using TreeCycle for all your Wood Waste needs!
